Harish Rao pointed out that the cases filed against Madhusudhan Reddy were bailable, yet the police refused to grant him bail.

Sangareddy: Former Minister and BRS MLA Harish Rao has said that the ruling party was pressuring opposition party leaders to join the Congress by fabricating cases.

Speaking to media in Patancheru following the arrest of BRS leader Gudem Madhu Sudhan Reddy, younger brother of BRS Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Harish Rao stated that the cases brought against Madhusudhan Reddy were bailable, but the police refused to issue him bail.

He recalled that the Supreme Court had directed the Police to prolong station bail in civil cases, but the administration here was not obeying any such orders. Rao claimed that hundreds of police officers came to Madhusudhan Reddy's home in Shanthi Nagar, Patancheru, at 3 a.m. on Friday, despite the fact that it was an average case.

He accused the police of acting indecently, alleging that they took him into jail without providing him with a notification or a copy of the FIR. He assured the cops that no party would be in power forever. Rao noted that the BRS government had never engaged in such operations against opposition parties throughout their ten-year rule.

According to the former minister, contracts for roughly 30 mines in the Patancheru area lapsed a long time ago. However, the officials did not take any action against them because they were owned by Congress leaders. Even though Madhusudhan Reddy's mine held all necessary approvals, officials brought three complaints against him. Rao described it as an act of mudslinging on BRS Party leaders by circulating fake messages, and stated that they would take Congress's actions public and battle it in court.

He accused the ruling party of disregarding public issues and stated that the people would undoubtedly teach them a lesson. The Siddipet MLA insisted that the Congress was not concerned about public issues. The government had failed to supply drinking water, irrigation water, and even basic services at Government Hospital Sangareddy.

Despite having passed 100 days, the Congress government failed to meet its campaign pledges and was attempting to persecute BRS leaders who refused to join Congress. He described Reddy's detention as undemocratic.

Harish claimed that police officers claimed they were carrying out the investigation on the orders of Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha.
