He wanted the stalls to be decorated in the style of Rythu Bazaar, where women from SHGs can sell their items.
Hyderabad: To improve marketing opportunities for the products of women's Self Help Groups (SHGs), the State government agreed to use around 119 stalls at the Night Bazaar near Shilparamam in Hyderabad. The majority of these stalls, built to host a night bazaar, have been dormant since 2017.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who inspected the stalls outside Shilparamam on Thursday, directed officials to make plans to allocate the stalls to solely women from SHGs under the Mahila Shakti initiative.
He wanted the stalls to be decked up on the lines of Rythu Bazaar where women from SHGs can sell their products.
He reiterated the State government's commitment to empowering one crore women SHG members and making them crorepatis.
As a result, the Chief Minister directed the officials to visit Manipur and investigate the market reserved solely for female entrepreneurs. He requested that they draft project ideas and issue related orders as soon as possible, in collaboration with all departments involved.
