Harmanpreet Expresses Confusion Over Toss Decision Win

Royal Challengers Bangalore chose to bat vs Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bangalore decided to bat in the 2024 WPL eliminator against the Mumbai Indians in Delhi.

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana wants runs on the board early because it "might start keeping low in the second innings." They have not changed from the XI that played their final group game against Mumbai a few days ago.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Yastika Bhatia, who missed Mumbai's previous game owing to sickness, has returned, but Priyanka Bala remains out. Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai's skipper, admitted she was "very confused" but was also leaning towards batting first.

"We had nice runs on the board in the powerplay," Harmanpreet said of their previous match against RCB, which Mumbai lost by seven wickets. "However, we did not continue after that. Our batting performed well in patches. We learned a lot from the previous game and expect to perform well.

The game will be played on pitch #3. The square limits were 63m and 46m, while the fine-leg boundary was 50m.

The team that chased has won all of these two sides' WPL matchups. However, previously to this game, teams who bat first had won six of the previous nine games in Delhi.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1 Smriti Mandhana (capt), 2 Sophie Molineux, 3 Ellyse Perry, 4 Sophie Devine, 5 Richa Ghosh (wk), 6 Georgia Wareham, 7 Disha Kasat, 8 Shreyanka Patil, 9 Asha Sobhana, 10 Shradda Pokharkar, 11 Renuka Singh
