VIJAYAWADA: On Thursday, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will give Rs 629.37 crore in aid under the YSR EBC Nestham initiative at a function in Banaganapalle, Nandyal district. The funds would be directly deposited into the bank accounts of 4,19,583 qualified impoverished women from the Reddy, Kamma, Arya Vysya, Brahmin, Kshatriya, Velama, and other OC communities in the state.
The YSRC administration has announced the EBC Nestham plan, which will grant Rs 15,000 in financial support every year for three years, for a total of Rs 45,000 to each woman beneficiary from EBCs aged 45 to 60 years, in order to help them become self-sufficient by starting small businesses.

Jagan would also lay the groundwork for the National Law University in Jagannatha Gattu, Panyam Assembly constituency of Kurnool district.
The Law University is being built on 150 acres at a cost of Rs 1,011 crore.
