Ram Gopal Varma to Contest Against Pawan Kalyan in AP Elections

 RGV announced that he would run in the elections from the Pithapuram Assembly Constituency in Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad: On Thursday, filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma (RGV) made a surprising revelation from his X (previously Twitter) account that he would run in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections.

RGV declared that he would run for election from the Pithapuram Assembly Constituency in the State. "SUDDEN DECISION."I am pleased to inform you that I am CONTESTEING from PITHAPURAM (sic.)," he stated in his post.

Interestingly, the director's statement came just minutes after the Telugu Desam Party-Bharatiya Janata Party-Jena Sena alliance announced that Tollywood star and JSP chairman Pawan Kalyan would run for the Pithapuram seat.
